Engineering Manager & Technical Delivery Lead

Bridging software engineering precision with business strategy to deliver scalable, high-impact systems.

Based in Berlin with a background in software engineering and an M.Sc. in Engineering Management (Distinction), I lead cross-functional engineering teams from concept to deployment. I translate complex architectural roadmaps into predictable delivery: defining technical scope, protecting budgets, eliminating engineering bottlenecks, and maintaining clear visibility for executive stakeholders. Combining consulting rigour with hands-on technical grounding, my work centres on building reliable platforms, driving down operational costs by 10%, and reducing system downtime by 20%.

01What I do

Two things I am hired for

An engineering background that lets me hold a technical conversation, and the management side that turns it into a plan someone can approve.

Delivery and technical governance

Owning a roadmap end to end with enough software literacy to challenge the estimate. Sprint planning, dependency management, technical debt decisions, and infrastructure work that keeps systems available.

  • Agile, Scrum and phased delivery for engineering teams
  • IT system migrations and infrastructure improvement
  • Budgeting, resourcing and scope control

Stakeholders, clients and communication

Turning engineering detail into something a client or a board can decide on. Running the relationships and the room: cross-department dependencies, multicultural teams, and public-facing programmes.

  • Client requirements gathering and reporting to management
  • Event and programme management across cultures
  • Media production and internal communication at scale

Interests

I have spent most of my life somewhere other than where I started, which is where the habit of adapting quickly to new teams came from.

Travel

Over 60 countries. Lived in Yemen, Sudan, India, Malaysia, Indonesia and Germany, with shorter stays in Singapore and South America. New cities on foot, no itinerary.

Painting

Pencil, ballpoint and watercolour. A slower counterweight to work that runs on deadlines.

Dancing

Where a lot of the community events I organise ended up going.

Swimming

The routine that survives however busy a week gets.

Chess

Champion of the UTM chess challenge. The one hobby that is pure calculation.
